12. Example scripts

This page shows some example scripts using Python and NCL to plot UFS Weather Model outputs.

If you are using Python and NCL on a high-performance computing platform, e.g. NOAA-Hera, the modules need to be loaded first.

To run a Python script, download the example script, make modifications, and run:

module load anaconda
python example.py

To use an NCL script, download the example script, make modifications, and run:

module load ncl
ncl example.ncl
